Slowfabrics
For the love of handmade textiles
Slowfabrics is Le Coupon’s very own line of fabrics. The originals of the Wiener Werkstätte printing blocks are the basis for the design of the individual prints on high quality materials.
The original patterns were reinterpreted to create the latest compositions of colors and patterns.
Wiener Werkstätte
The Wiener Werkstätte GmbH, established in 1903 was a productive association of visual artists.
The aim of the artists community was a renewal of the concept of art in the field of applied arts. They design crockery, jewelry, text and furniture and were so successful at times that sales outlets were set up in New York, Berlin and Zurich.
From 1905 The Wiener Werkstätte also produced hand painted and printed silk fabrics.

No. 1
Collection No. 1 By Rosmarie Amacher
The first Slowfabrics textile collection was created on the basis of the old pattern books. It interprets the old fabric patterns in new color compositions on high quality crêpe de chine and georgette fabrics.
During production, we pay attention to the most sustainable manufacturing possible. The fabrics are printed in Italy with no use of toxic substances. With years of experience in fabric processing, it is natural for Le Coupon to meet these high standards in the manufacturing process. This is what the name Slowfabrics stands for.
